Mechanics of materials is the study of how solid objects deform and fail under various types of loading. This fundamental engineering discipline covers topics such as stress, strain, elasticity, plasticity, and material failure theories. Teaching these concepts effectively requires hands-on experience with material testing equipment, which can be expensive and space-consuming. Our VR Labs allow students to experience comprehensive material testing in a virtual environment, learning how different materials respond to tension, compression, torsion, bending, and impact forces.
Students will gain practical understanding of material properties, failure modes, and testing standards used in engineering design and quality control across industries like aerospace, automotive, construction, and manufacturing.
All of our VR Labs are focused on academic curriculum. Our Mechanics of Materials labs cover the following material testing experiments:
- Universal Test - Tension
- Universal Test - Compression
- Torsion Test
- Fatigue Test
- Rockwell Hardness Test
- Vickers Hardness Test
- Brinell Hardness Test
- Mechanical Springs Test
- Charpy Test
- Izod Test
- Strain Gauges
- Euler Buckling Test
- Beam Bending Test
Our simulation platform has over 10,000 functions and pre-built algorithms to ensure we can deliver a fast development experience to our customers. Once the information is submitted and the project is approved, we will begin working on the simulations. The customer can see in real time how the project is progressing, test the simulations before completion, and more.
Depending on each use case, which is defined with the customer, we can develop applications for one or more platforms at a very competitive cost. Our technology allows us to develop for multiple platforms at a fraction of the cost thanks to our science and engineering algorithms and pre-built STEM functions. We can develop for Android, iOS, Web, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Virtual Reality. For Virtual Reality, we support Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, and more.
